Social-Work-Club
WTAMU Psychology Club

he purpose of this organization is to provide resources and activities for students at WTAMU, promoting interest and growth in psychology. The club serves as a medium for communication between psychology faculty, students, and other disciplines which share a common interest, and for the exchange of ideas and opinions. The club also aims to provide funds for research, scholarships, travel, and other professional activities.

Student Social Work Association

The Student Social Work Club is dedicated to the furthering of professionalism and the fostering of assistance and understanding between the students of WTAMU, the local community, and the social work fields by promoting shared learning, peer support, and exposure to the social work profession, to serve as an information and resource guide for members and to promote community awareness through service.

Criminal Justice Association

The purpose of the West Texas A&M University Criminal Justice Association shall be to: (1) aid the growth and development of West Texas A&M University collegiate students through socially and academically focused programming, (2) provide campus involvement, community service, and (3) professional development opportunities with presenting members real-life expectations related to the different fields of Criminal Justice.

Pre-Law Student Association

The Pre-Law Student Association is designed to establish community among WT students with a shared interest in legal studies. It supports students’ legal and political education, offers law school admissions resources and LSAT tips, and assists with networking, job placement, and other career preparation.

West Texas A&M Model United Nations

WTMUN is a student organization that hosts and attends conferences in which we simulate the workings of the United Nations. We pursue new perspectives and tackle global problems, delivering them in a creative and interactive way.

Young Conservatives of Texas - WT Chapter

YCT and its members participate in the entire range of Texas politics, attempting to shape the policies of the state of Texas through a number of means including educating students and the public, advocating conservative fiscal and social policies, campus activism, campaigning for political candidates, and rating the Texas legislature.

Kappa Delta Pi - Iota Theta Chapter

Kappa Delta Pi (KDP) is the largest honor society for educators. KDP inspires and supports future and new teachers as they transition from the campus to the classroom.  Invitation to KDP is based on high academic achievement at the college level, a commitment to becoming a high-quality educator, and a healthy attitude that ensures success for students. Members assist with service opportunities, maintain the values of the organization, and are recognized as honor students at graduation. Pi Sigma Alpha - Omega Iota Chapter

Pi Sigma Alpha is the national Political Science honor society. It is the only honor society for college and university students of government in the United States. One of the purposes of the honor society is to stimulate scholarship and intelligent interest in political science. Chapters on university and college campuses are encouraged to develop programs to enrich the exposure of members and the wider university community to the study of government and issues of public concern. Membership is by invitation. Undergraduates must have completed at least one-half of the credits required for the baccalaureate degree and have completed at least ten semester credits of work in Political Science, including at least one upper-division course, with an average grade of B or higher in those courses. They do not need to be Political Science majors to qualify for membership.

Pi Gamma Mu - Texas Omicron Chapter

The mission of Pi Gamma Mu is to encourage and recognize superior scholarship in social science disciplines and to foster cooperation and social service among its members.

Juniors, seniors, and graduate students in History, Geography, Political Science, Public Administration, Criminal Justice Administration, Economics, Sociology, Social Work, and Psychology with at least a 'B' average are eligible for membership.
