Professional Profile
Dr. Kim is an Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice at WTAMU. Dr. Kim joined the Department of Political Science and Criminal Justice in 2021. She received a Bachelor’s degree in Police Administration from Kyonggi University in 2014, a Master’s Degree in Criminology from Kyonggi University in 2016, and a Ph.D. in Criminal Justice and Criminology from Washington State University in 2021.
Teaching and Related Service
Dr. Kim teaches a variety of undergraduate courses at WT, including Criminology, Corrections, Juvenile Delinquency, Victimology, and Research Methods. As a core faculty member of the Master of Public Administration program, she also teaches graduate-level courses, such as Seminar in Criminal Justice Administration and Public Policy.
Research and Creative Activity
Dr. Kim’s research interests include fear of crime, public confidence in the police, prison misconduct, juvenile delinquency, and crime victimization. Her recent work has been published in the International Journal of Offender Therapy and Comparative Criminology and the International Journal of Law, Crime, and Justice.
