Registering for and Taking the Practice TExES
The WTAMU Educational Testing Service administers the practice TExES (among other exams) on specified dates. Their procedures largely resemble those of the actual TExES exam procedures. Key information you need to know to register for and take a practice TExES includes the following:
- Testing schedule – Make every effort to find a date that falls approximately 3 to 4 weeks before the date you plan to take the actual TExES. This allows time for the practice exam to be graded and forwarded to your professor for use in the test review session.
- Registration – Complete the online registration form prior to the registration deadline to avoid late fees. The deadlines are typically eight days prior to the exam.
- Testing day – Arrive on campus early enough to locate a parking place and find the testing location. Testing Services are located in Room 108 of the Classroom Center on the Canyon campus. Helpful links for locating the testing and parking facilities include the following:
- Interactive Campus Map
- Type “Classroom Center” into the search box in the upper left-hand side of your screen.
- Select the Classroom Center from the search results pane.
- Click on the “Directions” tab in the upper left-hand corner of your screen.
- Enter the requested information.
- Directions from your current location to your workshop will be provided.
