Peer Review Policy

Peer review forms the core of scholarly publishing and is an essential component of all reputable journals. The peer reviewers engaged by JREL have a crucial role in upholding the journal's rigorous standards and overall quality. Every manuscript submission undergoes a peer review process, which is detailed below.

Initial Manuscript Review and Evaluation

The initial step involves the Editor's assessment of all submitted manuscripts. Manuscripts that do not meet the minimum criteria, such as lacking originality, exhibiting poor grammar, falling outside the journal's aims and scope, or presenting significant methodological flaws, are typically rejected at this stage. Those that meet these basic criteria are typically forwarded to our dedicated panel of expert reviewers, all of whom are seasoned professionals in their respective fields.

Type of Peer Review

JREL utilizes a double-blind review process, ensuring that both the reviewer and the author maintain anonymity throughout the evaluation procedure.

Selection of Peer Reviewers

Peer reviewers are paired with research papers based on their area of expertise.

Review Process Timeline

The duration of the review process hinges on the feedback from peer reviewers. The Editor will forward their decision to the author, along with the reviewers' suggestions, typically encompassing direct comments from the referees. Manuscripts that have been revised are resubmitted to our panel of expert reviewers for further evaluation.

Final Report

The author will receive a conclusive decision regarding the acceptance or rejection of their manuscript, accompanied by any guidance provided by the reviewers. The peer reviewers offer counsel to the editor, who holds the ultimate authority in deciding whether to accept or reject the article. The Editor's decision is final.
