Professional Profile
Leslie Salazar-Hinojosa, LMSW joined the College of Education and Social Sciences in 2021. She received her B.S. in Social Work from West Texas A&M University in 2015 and MSSW in Social Work from West Texas A&M University in 2016. Currently she is in a doctoral program pursuing her Ph.D. in Social Work. She has been licensed since 2017. Leslie was awarded the 2021 Top Rising Star award through Los Barrios de Amarillo.
Teaching and Related Service
Leslie Salazar-Hinojosa teaches both master's and bachelor's level courses in the Social Work program. She is currently the MSSW Field Director for the graduate program. Throughout her career, she has worked with families and children, in the medical field and higher education. Currently, her research focuses on Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSI) and the Hispanic population overall.
