Professional Profile
Dr. Mallard joined the Sybil B. Harrington College of Fine Arts and Humanities in 2002. She received a B.A. in communication from the University of Central Oklahoma in 1988, a M.A. in speech communication from Penn State University in 1992 and a Ph.D. in speech communication from Penn State University in 1994.

Quantitative Research Methods
Research and Creative Activity
Dr. Mallard's research interests include first year experience research, effective teaching practices, teaching the basic speech course and service learning. Dr. Mallard has published and made numerous presentations on these topics.
Dr. Mallard is a member of the National Communication Association, The American Society of Trial Consultants and The National Collegiate Honors Council.
