Graduate Studies in the School of Music
WT offers two Masters Degrees that are variable according to student interests.
The Master of Music degree is a 32 hour performance degree (instrumental, conducting, vocal or composition) that culminates in a Graduate recital.
The Master of Art degree in Music has 4 paths to choose from. The 30 hour options include a recital option, composition option, or thesis option. The thesis is a significant music research project that conforms to the standards and practices articulated in the graduate research and writing courses. In addition there is a non-thesis Master of Art degree that consists of a minimum 36 hours of graduate music courses without the requirement of a recital or thesis.
