Music Performance

The Bachelor of Music in Music Performance program at WTAMU is a rigorous and comprehensive program designed to cultivate the artistic and technical skills of aspiring musicians. This degree is ideal for students with a passion for performing and a desire to excel in their chosen instrument or vocal area. With a focus on both classical and contemporary repertoire, this program offers a well-rounded education that prepares students for successful careers in music performance as professional musicians.

Individualized instruction is a cornerstone of the program. Students receive one-on-one lessons with renowned faculty members, enabling them to develop their technique and artistry. WTAMU boasts a faculty of accomplished musicians and educators who are dedicated to mentoring and guiding students in their musical journey. With a low student-to-faculty ratio, students receive personalized attention and instruction.

Students have ample opportunities to showcase their talents through solo and ensemble performances. The university hosts a variety of recitals, concerts, and masterclasses, allowing students to refine their skills in front of diverse audiences.  Students also often are on a substitute list for the Amarillo Symphony and have many other performance opportunities within the local community.
