Materials Characterization Center and Research Facility

 

 

Mission:

To provide research facilities for the College of Engineering and all researchers at West Texas A&M University, to train students through hands-on research projects and to develop courses for undergraduate and graduate students

Users:

Faculty and students of the College of Engineering, all researchers at West Texas A&M University, and relevant industries in the Region and the State of Texas

Overview of the Characterization Facilities

Core Engineering lab of the College of Engineering at West Texas A&M University supports a wide range of materials characterization. Tools available at this point Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) equipped with energy dispersive X-ray (EDX)), Thermogravimetric Analyzer (TGA), Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC), 3 Flex Micromeretic Surface Analyzer and X-ray Diffractometer (XRD).
