Professional Profile

Dr. Gill joined the College of Engineering in 2004. She received a B.A. in Mathematics Education from the University of Northern Colorado in 1995, an M.A. in Mathematics from Texas Tech University in 2003 and a Ph.D. in Higher Education Texas Tech University in 2010.

Teaching and Related Service

Dr. Gill teaches secondary and elementary mathematics education content courses.
Dr. Gill is the campus advisor for and alumnae member of the Delta Zeta national sorority.

Research and Creative Activity

Dr. Gill’s mathematics education research interests include math anxiety in middle-school and secondary students, uses of technology in mathematics and science teaching, teaching for student success in mathematics and science, and creating professional development opportunities for mathematics teachers.
Dr. Gill also researches in higher education administration with a focus on female representation in higher education administration, female STEM faculty, and family-friendly tenure policies.
