Professional Profile
Dr. Ozmaeian joined the College of Engineering in 2022. She received B.S., M.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Solid Mechanics, and Ph.D. in nanoscience and nanotechnology from Sharif University. She worked as a postdoctoral researcher on modeling materials at the nanoscale at UT Austin for five years. In addition, she has experience working at different national and international research institutes in multidisciplinary areas.
Teaching and Related Service
Beside programming, Dr. Ozmaeian teaches courses in solid mechanics, including Engineering Statics and Mechanics of material.
Research and Creative Activity
Dr. Ozmaeian's research interest focuses on two main topics: computational modeling of nano and biomaterials and experimental soft robotics. Much of her computational work entails conducting simulations to understand fundamental and applied aspects of materials at the atomic scale for new applications. She has also served as guest editor and reviewer for several peer-reviewed journals.
