Professional Profile

Ms. Taylor joined the WTAMU Department of Agricultural Sciences in the fall of 2024. She brings with her more than 20 years of equine industry experience. Ms. Taylor graduated from WTAMU with a B.S. in Agricultural Media & Communication in 2012 and Oklahoma State University with an M.S. in Animal Science in 2015.

Teaching & Related Service

As an instructor in equine sciences Ms. Taylor is primarily responsible for teaching horsemanship and leadership classes. In addition, she serves as the Head Coach for the IHSA Equestrian Teams at WTAMU. Prior to starting as coach and instructor at WTAMU, Ms. Taylor gained more than 10 years of experience coaching in the IHSA, instructing in equine science, and judging horse shows.

Personal Sketch

Ms. Taylor grew up in the Texas Panhandle riding and showing horses. She is an active member of AQHA, NRHA, USEF, USHJA, and IHSA and is a huge supporter of youth organizations like 4-H, IEA, and YEDA. She is passionate about collegiate equestrian because of the outstanding experience she had as an undergraduate at WTAMU and looks forward to continuing to make those opportunities available for today’s Buffs.
