Professional Profile
Dr. Bailey Samper joined the Department of Agricultural Sciences in 2024. She received a B.S. In Agricultural and Applied Economics with a concentration in International Agribusiness and a Master of Agribusiness from Texas Tech University in 2020 and 2021, respectively. In 2024, she completed her Ph.D. in One Health Sciences from the Texas Tech University School of Veterinary Medicine.
Teaching and Related Service
Dr. Samper teaches a variety of agricultural business and economics classes including Fundamentals of Agricultural Economics, Farm and Ranch Management, Advanced Agricultural Business Management, and Advanced Market Analysis.
Dr. Samper is the co-advisor of the Agribusiness Club and coach of the Ag Business Quiz Bowl Team.
Research and Creative Activity
Dr. Samper's research interests include animal health economics, epidemiological-economic modelling, and consumer demand for beef.
