2.27 | Illegal Substances
2.27.A | The act of using, possessing, being under the influence of, manufacturing, or distributing, illegal drugs or illegal obtained/possessed controlled substances is prohibited.
2.27.B | Abusing legally obtained drugs by failing to take the drug as directed. Except as expressly permitted by law, use, possession, manufactuing, or distributing or being party thereto of marijuana, heroin, harcotics, or other controlled and/or prescribed substances and/or drug paraphernalia and/or dangerout drug is also prohibited. Individuals may not operate a motor vehicle or another form of transportation while under the influence of drugs or while intoxicated.
2.27.C | Possession of drug-related paraphernalia, except in accordance with federal, state, or local law, is prohibited.
2.27.D | Smoking/Tobacco: The West Texas A&M University (WTAMU) camps is a smoke-free campus, which means smoking is prohibited inside all university buildings, including Residence Halls, the lounges and laundry facilities. The use of all tobacco products, including smokeless tobacco products (i.e., vape pens, chewing tobacco, e-cigarettes, and hookahs), legal and illegal smoking products are prohibited at any university property, facility and/or state vehicle. This will include the use of these products in personal vehicles while on university property. All buildings on the WTAMU campus are tobacco free.
