5.2 | Appeals

5.2.A | Types of university procedures that can be appealed include, but are not limited to:

  1. Discrimination/Civil Rights and Title IX Appeals: 
    1. Students who have been found Responsible through the Title IX process may appeal the decision only on the basis of a procedural irregularity that affected the outcome, new evidence not reasonably available at the time of the determination regarding responsibility or dismissal that could affect the outcome, the Title IX Coordinator, investigator, or decision maker can a conflict of interest or bias that affected the outcome, or to challenge the appropriateness or severity of the sanctions.   2. Student Conduct Appeals:
    1. Student(s) and/or student organizations who are found Responsible after a Formal Hearing in the Student Conduct process can appeal the determination using the steps outlined in 2.7.E.d Appeal Procedure.   3. Parking Citation Appeals:
    1. Students may appeal a parking citation within 20 days of their issued citation date and can do so through the University Police Department, Parking Services website. The appeal will be assigned to the next appeal hearing and will be reviewed by the Student Appeals Committee, which is comprised of judicial members from Student Government.
