Professional Profile
Ting graduated from University of the Pacific from 2018 with a B.S. in Athletic Training. Upon graduation he worked as a high school athletic trainer and an industrial athletic trainer for a year. In 2021, he completed an M.S. degree in Sports and Exercise Science with an emphasis in Sport Management at West Texas A&M while working as a graduate assistant and was hired as an assistant athletic trainer. Ting began a doctoral program in Health Sciences at University of the Pacific in 2024. His program research is focused on a feasibility study for a graduate professional athletic training education program at West Texas A&M University.
Teaching and Related Service
Ting teaches athletic training courses in the SES department, primarily ATTR 2371-Athletic Training I. He will also be teaching ATTR 3332- Athletic Training Evaluation II-Upper Extremity.
Research and Creative Activity
Ting's research interests include athletic training, particularly the shoulder and concussion management, athletic training education, and combat sports. He has presented at the state level in California during his undergraduate education and recently presented at the Health Professions Educators Conference this past Summer. His poster presentation was titled "Addressing the Patient Holistically in Collegiate Sports Medicine".
