Professional Profile
Heather earned her bachelor’s degree in athletic training from Oklahoma State University in 2009. She came to West Texas A&M University as a graduate student, where she earned her Master of Science in Sports and Exercise Science in 2011, while working as a graduate assistant athletic trainer.
In addition to working with WTAMU sports, Heather has also assisted with the Amarillo Venom, and area high schools.
Teaching and Related Service
Heather teaches in the Sport and Exercise Science and Athletic Training departments where her courses include drugs, alcohol, and tobacco; upper and lower extremity evaluation; personal fitness concepts; and athletic training clinical.
Research and Creative Activity
Heather is a member of the National Athletic Trainer’s Association (NATA), Southwest Athletic Trainers Association (SWATA), and Texas State Athletic Trainer’s Association (TSATA). Heather is the Wellness Champion for the WTAMU Employee Wellness Program, WellWT (2018-Present).
