Bias based policing is forbidden by West Texas A&M University Police Department policy. Any motorist who believes he or she has been stopped, detained or searched by a WTAMU police officer, contrary to the Bias Based Policing policy, may file a written complaint with the department. The supervisor of the officer who is the subject of the complaint will conduct an investigation and notify the Chief of Police, as well as the involved parties, of the findings.
