What is the Buffalo Gold Card "Band & Orchestra Camp Card"? The Band & Orchestra Camp Card, aka Buff Card or Buffalo Gold Card, will be provided in the registration packet at check-in. Your Band & Orchestra Camp Card/Buffalo Gold Card identifies you as a participant in the WTAMU Band & Orchestra Camp and reflects your camp identification number. The card shows that you are on the WTAMU campus as part of the Band & Orchestra Camp and is issued to you by Band & Orchestra Camp personnel. This card will also serve as the meal card, and will give access to the dorm lobbies for all campers. It will also be used to get into various rehearsal sites and for access to the Activity Center for recreation. If lost, there is a $10 replacement cost.
Functions of the Band & Orchestra Camp Card:
- Meal Plan Access: If you are a residential camper, the number of meals you are allowed (3 per day) will be on this card. Simply hand the card to the person behind the register at the dining hall. When swiped, one meal will be subtracted from the total meals allowed. Meals will begin on Sunday, July 10th with dinner and will end on Saturday, July 10th, with breakfast. Commuters who wish to eat in the cafeteria will need to add money to their account in advance. No cash will be accepted. For more information about meal prices, see Dining Hall Meal Prices.
- Access Function: Access to certain buildings and facilities within the WTAMU campus is determined by camp personnel. If you, as a camper, are given access to any building or facility, the card is simply swiped at the main doors of each location and will allow access to that particular location.
- Residential Halls
- Activity Center, front desk
- Practice rooms and storage rooms as designated by camp personnel.
- Debit Function: If you choose to use the debit function of the card, deposits must be made to the card and are referred to as "BuffCASH". The funds may then be used (similar to a debit card) at any merchant listed on the list below, as well as WTAMU's on-campus food court, vending machines, and WTAMU bookstore. If you are a commuter, you may place money on the card to eat in the cafeteria. Please see "How do I add money to my camper's Buff Card" below.

If it has not, a replacement card can be issued at the Buffalo Gold Card office. There is a $10 fee to be paid by you, the camper, before you can receive a replacement card.
AT THE END OF CAMP: ALL cards MUST be turned into your RA if staying in the dorms, or a director at your concert if you are a commuter! These cards are the property of the university and may not be kept for any reason (including souvenirs).
REFUNDS: If there is a balance of $10.00 or greater remaining on the card at the close of camp, a signed "Request for Refund Form" MUST be filled out and turned into the Buffalo Gold Card office (these can be collected by RAs, Student Events, or the Band & Orchestra Camp Office) before the refund can be issued. The refund process can take up to 4-8 weeks providing all documentation has been received in the Buffalo Gold Card office. All refund checks are issued and mailed by the WTAMU Business Office. If the balance is less than $10, those funds will be surrendered to the Buffalo Gold Card office. CASH CANNOT BE WITHDRAWN FROM A BUFFALO GOLD CARD ACCOUNT. Click HERE to print the refund form.
