2021 WTAMU Scholarship for New Graduate Students

The 2021 WTAMU Scholarship for New Graduate Students was created to support candidates seeking graduate studies in a time of volatility with respect to employment opportunities. Eligibility for this one-time tuition scholarship of $2000 is for the first 200 qualified students who complete their full graduate program application package, along with the online scholarship application, to the WTAMU Graduate School between March 1, 2021 and midnight on May 31, 2021 CST. Deadline may be extended if funds are available.

Awarded students must enroll in a new graduate degree-seeking program at West Texas A&M University for the summer 1, summer 2, or fall 2021 semesters with a minimum of six (6) graduate credit hours per semester. Awarded funds will be spread over a minimum of two academic semesters.

Scholarship Deadlines and Requirements
The priority date for all University scholarships is Feb. 1 for the next academic year. Awards will be made based on the availability of funds. Students must be in a graduate degree-seeking program, registered for a minimum of six (6) hours in the upcoming semester, and maintain at least a 3.0 GPA in graduate coursework to be considered for awards.

The Graduate School only has eligible scholarship funds for graduate degree-seeking students at this time and will not be able to award second bachelor or non-degree seeking students. However, we still encourage you to submit the general scholarship application for potential consideration by other offices.
