This is a hard truth that we all have to face at some point during our job search. When looking for a job, we will likely have to face rejection before we can find victory. One thing we need to remember is that jobs are competitive and often hiring managers will find themselves with a handful of very qualified candidates to choose from. While you are in the job search it is important to not put all your hopes on just one job. Apply for jobs that you truly would enjoy, but keep in mind that it may not be the job you get.
What you do after rejection is just as important as what you do while applying. If you get rejected, get up and try again. If you have to apply to numerous jobs before landing a job offer, chances are that your resume writing and interviewing skills will improve tremendously. Don’t dwell on a rejection, but look for opportunities to grow and learn from each application process experience.
