Transfer Student Orientation

Summer/Fall 2024 Students

For students starting at WT in Summer or Fall 2024, we are moving to a new fee structure where all costs associated with orientation and admission are covered by the Admissions and Orientation fee that all students pay as part of their tutition their first semester. There is no additional cost for students to complete the transfer orientation or attend one of our transfer events.

All transfer students will complete the online orientation.  Online Transfer Orientation will include an introduction to our on-campus resources via a series of web pages followed by a brief quiz to assess your readiness.  Upon successful completion, you will be directed to schedule an appointment for academic advising or register for a Transfer Visit Day.

Students may access the online orientation by the following steps:

1. Access the online orientation

2. Make sure you know your Buff ID.  The Orientation will ask for this information.

3. Complete the Orientation in its entirety

4. Pass the final quiz

The Online Transfer Orientation will take approximately one hour to complete.  You may start and stop the orientation as often as you need.  The system will remember where you left off.  Once the orientation is complete, it will take up to 1 business day for the orientation restriction to be removed from your account.

Before making an appointment to see an academic advisor or regsitering for a Transfer Visit Day, all transfer students should have completed the Online Transfer Orientation.  

Transfer Registration Days are an opportunity for students to come to campus to meet other new transfer students, campus resources, and meet with academic advisor in-person.  Transfer Registration Days are an optional event transfer students can register for after completing the online orientation at no additional cost to the orientation fee.

Transfer Registration Days are a highly anticipated event for our students and fill up quickly.  To ensure your spot and that you have the best experience, registration is required by 5 p.m. the TUESDAY BEFORE the EVENT.
