Professional Profile
Mrs. Brown joined the College of Nursing and Health Sciences in 2019. She received her B.S. and M.S. in Communication Disorders from West Texas A&M University in 2013 and 2016. She holds the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association’s Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) as well as Texas state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology. Mrs. Brown is a member of the American Speech-Language Hearing Association
Teaching and Related Service:
Mrs. Brown currently teaches courses in phonetics, speech and hearing sciences, survey to communication disorders, and professional issues. Mrs. Brown has worked as a speech-language pathologist in pediatric home health and public-school settings.
Research and Creative Activity:
Mrs. Brown coordinates the Speech and Hearing Sciences graduate mentorship program in which second year graduate students support, encourage, and mentor first year graduate students. Mrs. Brown loves spending time baking and reading with her daughters.
