Professional Profile

Mr. Brown joined the College of Nursing and Health Sciences in 2020. He received his B.S. and M.S. in Communication Disorders from West Texas A&M University in 2014 and 2016, respectively. He holds the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association’s Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) as well as Texas state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology. Mr. Brown is a member of the American Speech-Language Hearing Association, Augmentative and Alternative Communication Special Interest Group, and Issues in Higher Education Special Interest Group. He is also one of nine Language Acquisition through Motor Planning Certified Professionals in the state of Texas.

Teaching and Related Service

Mr. Brown currently teaches courses in language development, language disorders in school-age children, interviewing and counseling, clinical observations, and augmentative and alternative communication. He also provides clinical instruction for graduate students in the WTAMU Speech and Hearing Clinic. Mr. Brown has worked as a speech-language pathologist in pediatric outpatient and public school settings.
