The WTAMU Post Office is located in the Jack B. Kelly Student Center (JBK) between the food court and the bookstore. It is our goal to provide efficient and accurate mail service to the university and surrounding community, and to provide you with information about our various mailing services. The campus post office provides many services of the U.S. Postal Service including the purchase of stamps, priority mail, certified mail, and mailing of packages. We serve as a collection point for prepaid USPS labled packages.

We accept Credit Cards, Debit Cards, Buff cash, or check. Cashless post office since november 2021.

We are a contracted U.S. Post Office, therefore we do not provide these services:

  • Forwarding mail
  • Passports
  • Money orders
  • International packages
  • Insured packages
  • Express mail
  • Overnight mail
  • Registered mail

WTAMU Regulations:
Students living in the dorms are automatically assigned a mailbox. They can pick up their key at the service window of the post office. However if they do not wish to have a P.O. Box, they are allowed to refuse. They just need to sign a form confirming the refusal. The public is very welcome to rent a mailbox from us as well. All mail received should be address properly including full name and P.O. Box number. Failure to do so will result in delay of delivery or return to sender of letter/package. Students cannot share a mailbox.
Closing your mailbox:
All students who are graduating, transferring, or not returning to WT for any reason are required to close out their mail box by filling out a notice and returning the key before leaving campus. Failure to do so will result in a non-return fee of $15. DO NOT give your key to an R.A. at check-out, as they are not responsible for bringing the key to the Post Office. The key is your responsibility alone.
