CANYON, Texas — Austin-area Buffs are invited to hoist a pint with their fellow West Texas A&M University graduates.
The WT Alumni Association and the Paul and Virginia Engler College of Business will jointly host a social event at 5:30 p.m. Jan. 30 at Zilker Brewing Co., 1701 E. Sixth St. in Austin.
“We are proud to see WT Alumni thriving in cities like Austin,” said Ronnie Hall, executive director of the WT Alumni Association. “This event offers an excellent opportunity for WT Alumni to not only reconnect with fellow Buffs but also a chance to strengthen their ties with the Engler College of Business.”
Dr. Robert A. King, associate dean of undergraduate business programs, said the Engler College is “thrilled” to join forces with the Alumni Association.
“We’re excited to bring together our accomplished graduates to celebrate their success and reconnect with our Buff community,” King said. “It’s inspiring to see how far our alumni have come, and we’re excited for the opportunity to network, share stories, and continue building a strong WT legacy.”
Attendees will get two free drinks.

Strengthening existing and creating new relationships with alumni is a key mission of the University’s long-range plan, WT 125: From the Panhandle to the World.
That plan is fueled by the historic One West comprehensive fundraising campaign, which reached its initial $125 million goal 18 months after publicly launching in September 2021. The campaign’s new goal is to reach $175 million by 2025; currently, it has raised more than $160 million.
