CANYON, Texas — West Texas A&M University ranks No. 3 in best value for business/managerial economics schools around the country, according to Business Degree Central.
In the student resource’s most recent rankings, WT was in the top 5 percent of the country for students seeking value in their higher education options.
Business Degree Central’s Best Value Rankings were designed to help students find the highest quality business education they can afford. Both quality and affordability are factors in the ranking.
“Quality and affordability are two of our highest priorities,” said Dr. Amjad Abudllat, dean of the Paul and Virginia Engler College of Business. “We accomplish this through emphasis on excellence in teaching and a commitment to being a student-centered organization.”
In all, 195 schools were analyzed.
“WT earned this ranking by offering an affordable, quality education to students interested in managerial economics,” according to Business Degree Central.
The report also analyzed specific programs within the Engler College of Business and gave 46 distinct awards in the following: management information systems, general business/commerce, public relations and advertising, business/managerial economics, marketing, finance and financial management, agricultural economics and business, business administration and management, and accounting.
“The sheer number of the programs honored by Business Degree Central shows the depth and breadth of the education that we offer and how concerned we are with providing good value to our students,” Abdullat said.
Among the program rankings:
- No. 1 best value bachelor’s program in the southwest for management information systems, general business/commerce, public relations and marketing, and agricultural economics and business;
