I am a self-employed author, speaker, journalist, and professional writer. Under my own name or as a ghostwriter, I have written more than a dozen nonfiction books for traditional publishers, self-published a handful of books, had my writing appear in a variety of national magazines, and am currently the contributing writer-at-large for Amarillo Magazine. Upon graduating from TTU, I was an adjunct for the First-Year Writing Program at TTU for one year, and then, I began teaching at South Plains College as an Instructor of English. SPC has been my home for approximately four years.

Joseph Edmondson, Class of 2011
After graduating, BGS with concentrations in English and history, I completed the Post-Bacc program at WT, then an internship as a social studies teacher at Richard Milburn Academy in Amarillo. I was officially certified by the State Board of Education in June 2013. In 2014, I started studies at Texas State University and was conferred a Master of Arts in Applied Philosophy and Ethics December 13, 2014. I am now substitute teaching in Fort Worth and will begin doctoral studies at University of North Texas in philosophy this August. I hope to receive my PhD in philosophy concentrating on environmental ethics and environmental justice, following the advice of my undergraduate advisor and friend, Dr. Hunt.

After graduation I received a master's degree in American Literature from the University of Chicago. Until recently, I was the assistant to the editor-in-chief at W. W. Norton & Company in New York City. In December I moved back to Canyon. I do freelance editing and I am working on my third novel.

Daisha Sanders, Class of 2012
After receiving my Bachelor's in Spanish, I attended Graduate School at WT. While completing my Master of Science in Engineering Technology, I worked as a Spanish Customer Service Representative for Xcel Energy & provided some freelance translations in my free time. Since graduating with my Master's in 2014, I now work in the Facilities Department at Bell Helicopter, & am responsible for project management as well as providing all of the design layouts for the Amarillo site. I hope to someday work overseas & utilize both my Spanish & Engineering educational backgrounds.
