Expansion of Employee and Family Tuition and Fees Reduction Program

I am pleased to announce an expansion of the Employee and Family Tuition and Fees Reduction Program for WT employees and their eligible immediate family members (spouse and dependent children), effective Summer I session in 2024. Employees who work 50% FTE or higher in a benefit-eligible position and their claimed dependents can now use the 50% waiver on all assessed tuition and fees to pursue a baccalaureate or graduate degree (master’s, second master’s, or doctorate). The waiver does not cover course materials, housing, or meal costs.

The tuition benefit is intended to encourage and assist employees and their eligible immediate family members (spouse and dependent children) in obtaining a university-level education. The waiver was inspired, in part, by the collaborative spirit across the campus community and is an expression of appreciation and support for faculty and staff. Thank you to the WT Staff Council and Faculty Senate for their leadership in seeking better educational benefits for employees and their extended families.
