Professional Profile

Mrs. Stephens joined the College of Engineering as a full time instructor in the fall of 2026. She earned her B.S. in mathematics in 2016 and her M.S. in mathematics in 2018, both from WTAMU.

Teaching and Related Service

Mrs. Stephens teaches undergraduate courses such as college algebra and business math. She was a tutor in WT's own math lab for 4 years before becoming a part-time instructor at The College of Coastal Georgia for a semester. She also spent time as a high school tutor and then a high school teacher at Septima P. Clark Academy in Charleston, SC. She then took time off to have two children before returning to WTAMU as a part-time math instructor in 2025.

Research and Creative Activity

Outside of teaching, Mrs. Stephens enjoys spending time with her husband, two sons, and family pets. They frequent local parks and restaurants, as well as the Amarillo Zoo and Don Harrington Discovery Center.
