Professional Profile

Mrs. Bachman re-joined the Paul Engler College of Agriculture and Natural Science in August of 2016. She received a B.S. in Animal Science from New Mexico State University in 1992 and an M.S. in Agricultural Economics from Texas A&M University in 2003.

Teaching and Related Service

Formerly, the Director of Advising Services, Rebekah is committed to student success and assisting students in their journey of completing their degree.

Research and Creative Activity

Previously in the Department of Agricultural Sciences from 1995-2005, Mrs. Bachman taught courses in Horsemanship, Equitation, Equine Behavior, Hippotherapy, Agricultural Economics, Animal Science and Freshmen Experience. She also served as Head Coach for the Equestrian Team, coaching the 2003 Intercollegiate Horses Show Association (IHSA) National Champion Western team, the 2002 Varsity Equestrian (VENC) Champion Western team as well as the 2002 and 2003 Tournament of Champions Western team champions.  Bachman also coached several National Champion and Reserve Champion Individual riders in National, Zone, and Regional competitions.

Personal Sketch

Rebekah grew up in New Mexico and becomes nostalgic at the aroma of roasting green chile. She resides in Canyon, TX with her husband, Steve, a beef cattle nutritionist.
