WTAMU Dance Ensemble
The WTAMU Dance Ensemble has many performing opportunities including our annual fall student choreographed concert, and our annual spring concert - choreographed by faculty and guest artists. Yearly participation in American College Dance Festival allows student choreography to be presented on a national stage and juried by working professionals in the field of dance.
Additional performing opportunities are available through the Lone Star Ballet which auditions dancers for two to three productions each year and by auditioning for the outdoor musical drama "TEXAS" located in the beautiful Palo Duro Canyon and choreographed by Crystal Bertrand, WTAMU Dance Faculty. Various outreach performances in the Texas Panhandle exposes dancers to a wide variety of performance venues and audiences.
Performance is a vital component of a BFA in dance and WTAMU offers many opportunities for it dance majors. If the stage is a place that you love than WTAMU is the place for you! We look forward to seeing you on stage.
