Professional Profile

Dr. Li joined the Paul and Virginia Engler College of Business in 2008. He received a B.A. in English from Shantou University in 1998, an M.A. in industrial/organizational psychology from the University of Northern Iowa in 2003, an M.S. in management from the University of Arizona in 2006 and a Ph.D. in organizational behavior from the University of Arizona in 2008. He was named the Williams Professor of Management in 2010. 

Teaching and Related Service

Dr. Li teaches organizational behavior, human resources management, and cross-cultural management.

He was the recipient of the Paul & Virginia Engler College of Business Teaching Excellence Award in 2010.

Research and Creative Activity

Dr. Li has published over a dozen journal articles and book chapters. He is currently on the editorial board of the Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Management, and Group and Organization Management. His research interests focus on work motivation, work-family conflict, research methodology, and personnel selection.

He was the recipient of the Engler College of Business Research Excellence Award in 2012, 2015, and 2018.
