Professional Profile
Ms. Blakely joined the Paul and Virginia Engler College of Business in 2023. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Arts from The University of Alabama in Huntsville in 2016 and a Master of Science in Information Systems with a concentration in Cyber Security from The University of Alabama in Huntsville in 2017. Her Ph.D. will be in Business Administration with a concentration in Management from The University of Mississippi.
Teaching and Related Service
Andrea currently teaches Principles of Management and Organizational Behavior. Andrea is an active member of the Southern Management Association, Network of Leadership Scholars, and the Academy of Management. She also is a sponsor of the Women in Business student organization on campus and encourages you to join!
Research and Creative Activity
Her research interests include leadership, compensation management, and idiosyncratic deals at the individual level as well as the team-level.
Personal Sketch
Andrea is originally from Alabama and that can easily be recognized from her Southern accent. She may not understand all sports, but she loves to watch! She loves her family time and enjoying the outdoors with her goldendoodle, Romeo. Lastly, if she ever had the opportunity to host a dinner party for celebrities, the list would include Justin Bieber, Gordon Ramsay, Kanye West, Elvis Presley, and Johnny Depp.
