Professional Profile
Dr. Meredith joined the Paul and Virginia Engler College of Business in 2011. He received a B.A. in Economics/Mathematics from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2006 and a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Georgia in 2011. He was named the Dana Professor of Business in 2015.
Teaching and Related Service
Dr. Meredith teaches microeconomic theory and health economics. He is a member of the American Economic Association and the American Society of Health Economists.
He was the recipient of the Paul & Virginia Engler College of Business Professional Service Award in 2014.
Research and Creative Activity
Dr. Meredith’s research focuses on applied microeconomics. He is particularly interested in health economics. Dr. Meredith's publications includes articles in Journal of Regulatory Economics, The Journal of Health Care Organization, Provision, and Financing, Applied Economics, Journal of Financial Regulation and Compliance, Journal of International Business & Economics, Journal of Academy of Business and Economics, Eastern Economic Journal, and Southwestern Economic Review.
Personal Sketch
Dr. Meredith lives in Amarillo with his wife and son. He is an avid reader of Reuters and enjoys competing in endurance sports and watching sports such as soccer, football, and basketball. He has completed several half marathons and triathlons. He is a fan of The Office U.S. TV series, where his favorite character is Dwight Schrute. Dr. Meredith also enjoys cheering on the Philadelphia Eagles and Georgia Bulldogs football teams.
