Illustrated Brand Elements
Bucky Illustration Standards
The illustrated Bucky mascot is a recognized visual element that celebrates West Texas A&M University's spirit, traditions, and student engagement. These illustrations provide a consistent and recognizable representation of Bucky across University communications and activities.
Student Affairs Marketing maintains the illustrated Bucky artwork and serves as the primary point of contact for University departments requesting access to the illustration library or requesting additional artwork. Student Affairs Marketing is responsible for maintaining and distributing illustrated Bucky artwork in accordance with these illustration standards.

Appropriate Uses
Illustrated Bucky artwork may be used by University departments and recognized University organizations in support of:
- University marketing and promotional materials
- Presentations and digital signage
- Campus events and student engagement activities
- Promotional items produced for official University events or departmental activities, consistent with applicable University branding and licensing policies
Illustration Standards
To maintain a consistent appearance, illustrated Bucky artwork should not:
- Be stretched, distorted, or proportionally altered
- Be recolored or otherwise modified
- Be redrawn or recreated
- Be modified or transformed using AI-generated imagery
- Be combined with other artwork to create new mascot variations
- Be modified by adding clothing, accessories, or new facial expressions, unless created by Student Affairs Marketing as part of the illustration library
These standards establish visual guidelines for the consistent use of illustrated Bucky artwork. They do not establish trademark, licensing, or intellectual property rights beyond existing University and Texas A&M University System policies.
These standards apply only to illustrated Bucky artwork and do not supersede the West Texas A&M University Brand Standards, University licensing requirements, or other applicable Texas A&M University System policies.
For questions regarding access to illustrated Bucky artwork or requests for additional illustrations, please contact Student Affairs Marketing.
