Spanish Minor Requirements (18 Credit Hours: 6 courses)

Required 2000-Level Courses (Choose one track):

Track A (Non-Heritage): SPAN 2311 & SPAN 2312 (or SPAN 2371)

Track B (Heritage Speakers): SPAN 2313 & SPAN 2315 (or SPAN 2371)

Required 4000-Level Course:

SPAN 4320 – Advanced Spanish Grammar

Choose 3 Additional Upper-Level Courses (3000/4000):

• SPAN 3314 – Latin American Culture and Civilization

• SPAN 4375 – Hispanic Writers in the US

• SPAN 4385 – Latino, Hispanic and Latin American Film

• SPAN 4395 – Mexican Literature and Culture

• SPAN 3306 – Spanish Studies Abroad and MORE…

This program has allowed me to communicate with him and make him feels seen and heard. I believe that will transfer seamlessly into my role as a medical student and physician. I have been privileged to go to Spain through WT's Spanish and honors programs and will be going to Costa Ric in January to continue advancing my Spanish to be the best physician I can be."
