Professorships are also desired to attract and retain great faculty, and one or more professorships are planned for most disciplines. Endowed graduate fellowships and assistantships are also sought to increase recruitment and retention of the best graduate students. Places
Our new Agricultural Sciences Complex meets many of the facility needs on campus for the Agricultural Sciences Department. Renovations are nearly completed for the Chemistry, Physics and the Life, Earth and Environmental Sciences departments in the Natural Sciences Building, but two teaching labs and three research labs require freshening or remodeling and updating. The Beef Cattle Teaching and Research Feedlot has served WT well for the last 40 years, but is in need of renovation and expansion. The Horse Center serves as the main venue for all things equine including teams, classes, camps and clinics, but it is in need of a facelift and improvements. Greenhouses are needed to accommodate teaching and research. As the college moves to more online class offerings, a studio for recording lectures is needed. We are now responsible for the bison mascot, Thunder, and modification of Thunder Lodge, including a perimeter fence, is needed.
