University Speech and Hearing Clinic Announces Dates for Spring

CANYON, Texas—The Speech and Hearing Clinic at West Texas A&M University is providing speech-language services for preschool children this spring.

The Preschool Language Group is designed for children ages 2-4 years-old with language delays. This can include communication issues with inability to say or understand basic words. The Clinic addresses these challenges with play-based group activities that encourage language building and peer interactions.

The Preschool Language Group meets on Mondays and Wednesdays 9-9:45 a.m. at the Harrington Academic Hall WTAMU Amarillo Center located at 720 S. Tyler St. The Preschool Language Group will meet until Wednesday, April 19.

The groups are facilitated by WT communication disorder graduate students under the supervision of WT faculty members who are licensed speech-language pathologists.

In addition, the Speech and Hearing Clinic also provides groups for adults with aphasia, dementia and Parkinson’s disease.
