Statement

WTAMU handles personally identifiable information throughout many business processes.  Efforts shall be made to limit the use of personally identifiable information throughout the information life cycle when the information is not needed for operational purposes helps to reduce the level of privacy risk created by a system.

Applicability

This Control applies to all West Texas A&M network information resources. The intended audience for this Control includes all information resource owners, custodians, and users of information resources.

Implementation

WTAMU shall limit personally identifiable information being processed in the information life cycle to only those elements required to complete the business process being conducted.
