Statement

The WTAMU information security office and system administrators will monitor appropriate sources to receive security alerts from system manufactures.

Applicability

This Control applies to all West Texas A&M network information resources. The intended audience for this Control includes all information resource owners, custodians, and users of information resources.

Implementation

The ISO is responsible for:

Receiving IT security alerts and advisories from established information security resources
Identifying and evaluating alerts and advisories for reporting security threats that may impact the University
Communicating security alerts, advisories, and directives to appropriate University personnel
Coordinating response activities
