Statement

WTAMU determines information security requirements for the information system or information system service in mission/business process planning; determines, documents, and allocates the resources required to protect the information system or information system service as part of its capital planning and investment control process; and establishes a discrete line item for information security in University-wide programming and budgeting documentation.

Applicability

This Control applies to all West Texas A&M network information resources. The intended audience for this Control includes all information resource owners, custodians, and users of information resources.

Implementation

The ISO shall determine security requirements for information systems or information system services in University business process planning.
The CIO is responsible for budgeting and capital planning for campus wide information technology resources, which will include allocating proper resources for information security.
A discrete line item for information security and privacy shall be established in University.
