PE-17 Alternate Work Site

Statement
WTAMU employees may be required to work from alternative work sites for continuity of operations. Alternate work sites may include, for example, government facilities or private residences of employees.
Applicability
This Control applies to any alternative work site established by West Texas A&M for contingency operations. The intended audience for this Control includes all information resource owners, custodians, and users of information resources.
Implementation
WTAMU shall implement the following controls for employees working from alternative sites:
- Determine and document the alternate work sites allowed for employee(s)
- Employ appropriate security controls at alternative work sites based on risk
- As feasible assess the effectiveness of security controls at alternate work sites
- Provide a means for employees to communicate with the information security office in case of security incidents
