Statement

The West Texas A&M University implements requirements that Identity evidence be provided prior to issuance of system access. Forms of acceptable evidence shall be consistant with risk associated with users access.

Applicability

This Control applies to all West Texas A&M network information resources. The intended audience for this Control includes all information resource owners, and custodians of information resources.

Implementation

  • Evidence of individual identification be presented to the appropraite registration authority for the users role.
  • Identity evidence shall be a physical or digital identification credential containing the bearer’s photograph, issued by a federal or state government authority of the United States, to include members of the Texas A&M University System; a visa issued by the U.S. Department of State, or a foreign passport issued by a Visa Waiver Program participating country.
