Statement
Understanding the importance of information security, individual responsibilities, and accountability are paramount to achieving university security goals. This can be accomplished with a combination of general information, security awareness training, and targeted training. Training for users shall include specific information regarding Social Engineering attacks.
Applicability
This Control applies to all West Texas A&M employees who use University information resources or networks to fulfill their duties.
Implementation
- Social engineering training has been integrated into the Information Security Awareness (ISA) training module via the Texas A&M System’s TrainTraq system hosted by TAMUS. Completion policies and requirements for this training are defined in AT-2 Awareness Training.
