Definitions

  • 100% Online: The entire course and/or program is online. For programs that require a practicum/rotation, as long as students can complete these in their own community, the program is still considered online.
  • Fully Online (86-99% online): A program which may have mandatory face-to-face sessions totaling no more than 15 percent of the instructional time. Examples of face-to-face sessions include orientation, laboratory, exam review, or an in-person test.
  • Hybrid/Blended (51-85% online): A majority (more than 50 percent but less than 85 percent) of the program occurs when the students and instructor(s) are not in the same place.

Licensure and Certification: Requirements for licensure and/or certification vary from state to state. Our programs prepare students for licensure and/or certification in the State of Texas. We do not represent that our programs prepare students for licensure and/or certification in other states.

International Students: Due to visa regulations, international students in non-immigrant F1 visa status can only count one online class toward the required nine (9) credit hours full-time class load per semester. For more information regarding visa regulations or requirements for international students, please contact International Student Services.
