Students must take and pass TExES Exams 160 and 177 before student teaching.
A minimum of eight semesters of major ensemble (two credit hours each long-term semester).
Students must enroll in Music Recital (MUSI RCTL) every semester they are in rolled in nine or more hours.
Recital, concert, weekly seminar and departmental meeting attendance.
Satisfactory senior recital performance before graduation.
Students majoring in music with (all-level certification) are encouraged to attend at least one summer school session to allow greater freedom during regular semesters to participate in unrequired but valuable courses such as small ensembles.
