Steps to Pursue Bachelor's Degree with Teacher Certification
Follow these steps to begin your journey to becoming a teacher:
Degree Plans for Grade Levels and Content Areas
EC - Grade 6 / Grades 4-8
Students who select either Early Childhood (EC) - Grade 6 or Grades 4-8 will earn their bachelor of science degree with a major in education. The degree programs for these two teaching areas is housed within the Department of Education.

- Choose Undergraduate Catalog for the appropriate academic year
- Select Terry B. Rogers College of Education from the catalog navigation menu
- Scroll to the Department of Education Teacher Certification degree list
- Click on the option of your choice
- This will be the degree requirements that must be completed in order to earn this degree
- Your academic adviser will help you plan your schedule for each semester.
Note: Some courses require pre-requisites and others may be offered only in certain semesters. It is imperative that you meet with your academic adviser each semester.
Grades 6-12 / EC - Grade 12
Students who select either Grades 6-12 or Early Childhood (EC) - Grade 12 will earn either a bachelor of arts, a bachelor of music, or a bachelor of science, with a major in the content area chosen. The degree programs are housed within the department that corresponds with the chosen content area.
