1999-2000

Purpose
The purposes of the West Texas A&M University Music Therapy Club
are:
-
To provide at least one service project per school year as student music
therapists for client groups that will and can benefit from music therapy
-
To provide an opportunity for music therapy students to meet together and
to share new ideas and problems concerning music therapy which they may
have encountered.
-
To sponsor activities that will enrich and expand experiences with the
knowledge of Music Therapy that they can use in their careers as music
therapists.
-
To keep students informed about the activities of the regional and national
music therapy organizations, the effects of legislation on music therapists
and new developments of job opportunities in the field of music therapy.

To provide a means for students to attend regional and national conventions
and seminars concerning music and related therapies.
