Student Support Services (SSS) The goal of Student Support Services (SSS) is to assist eligible students by helping them succeed in school, complete a degree program and advance to a graduate program or a meaningful career track. All of services are free of charge. Student Support Services is a project funded by a four-year grant from the United States Department of Education under TRIO legislation. SSS has been at West Texas A&M University for over 27 years and it's mission is to serve first-generation, low- income students or students with disabilities. Student Support Services assists in the following areas: Academic Advising and Counseling - Educational planning
- Academic advising
- Degree planning
- Course schedule development
- Problem-solving skills development
- Campus advocacy
- Referrals to other departments and agenices as needed for student success
Career Counseling - Assess occupational goals
- Develop strategies for success in achieving career goals
- Increase motiviation to accomplish goals
Tutoring Services - Mathematics
